📖 What Men Need To Know During Sex: How To Make Her Feel Special, Thrilled, Excited, Ravished, Loved & Wanted ALL At The Same Time

Excerpted and adapted from Laws Of The Bedroom: What Women Want From Men Inside & Outside Of The Bedroom book by Bart Smith. Reprinted by Permission.

Gentlemen, let me ask you a question. When you're making love to the woman you care about, how much attention are you actually giving to her experience?

Are you actively thinking about how comfortable she feels, whether she's genuinely enjoying herself, and what might make your time together even more satisfying? Or are you so focused on your own excitement that you occasionally forget there is another person involved?

That is a question worth considering.

In Chapter Six of my book, Laws Of The Bedroom, I discuss how men can become more attentive, considerate lovers by changing the way they approach intimacy. And here is the good news: you don't have to master a dozen complicated techniques to become a better lover. Sometimes, transforming your intimate relationship begins with three surprisingly simple principles.

Laws Of The Bedroom by Bart Smith

  • A MUST → GIVE HER TIME ... OH, AND YOU HOLD ON THERE, BUDDY!!!!

Men and women do not always experience sexual excitement at the same pace. Your gal may require more time to become physically and emotionally ready, and those needs can change from one occasion to the next. If you find yourself ready before she is, I got two words for ya ... "HOLD IT!" That is, we want to allow her body time to warm up to ours and really get her excited. In fact, so much excited that she's reaching for you more than you are for her. Wouldn't that be a twist, eh?

So, take your time to enjoy being together. Remain affectionate, attentive, and highly responsive to her cues. In my book, I strongly discourage men from treating intimacy as a race to the starting line and finishing before she does. I get into that in this article, coming up. This often leaves their gal feeling overlooked, undesired, underserved and left feeling empty, used and tossed aside if he doesn't take care of her needs like she helped take care of his.

This does not mean every encounter needs to last for hours, although they should. Sometimes couples have limited time, and both are perfectly happy with a brief, passionate moment. What matters isn't the exact number of minutes on a clock; what matters is that both people have the opportunity to fully enjoy themselves, which requires paying close attention to one another.

  • NOW, FIRST, SHE COMES FIRST! → THIS IS YOUR ATTITUDE GOING IN EVERY TIME!

I know, you're excited to hop into bed and start rockin' and a rollin' until you get your rocks off and then what????? She gets leftovers? Uh, I don't think so. First and foremost, "Hold on their, Nelly! Gents, control yourself and your urge to pop the rocket fuel all in and around her. Nope, that ain't gonna happen ... just yet."

Here's a twist, let her come first! Get her jollies off before you get yours EVERYTIME, if and when possible or she gives the go-ahead, "Yeah, honey, you can come." Yes, she may take more time. You might take 5 seconds. She may take 50 minutes.

The value here is when you give your gal the opportunity to reach her orgasm first before you do, that sends waves of love, adoration, joy, respect and love (did I already say that) from her to you without you doing anything more.

Then, when it's your turn, you can simply say, "Can we do it this way? It's my favorite." Just watch her hop into position to help you enjoy the process of life juice squirtin' and with a joyous smile on her face ten miles wide.

You do this every time y'all make love and she's going to be skipping that extra step into the bathroom to wash up or down the hall to do whatever or ... just whatever. At work, she'll be at her desk saying, "My man let me orgasm before he did AGAIN. I love that man." Guys, do we NOT want our GAL to be thinking about us like that on her own time away from us? I think so. I say no more, next.

  • SECOND, ASK WHAT SHE LIKES!

Here's one of the most important principles in the entire chapter. ASK HER! That's right, gentlemen. ASK! You may have been with the same woman for years, but that doesn't mean you automatically know everything about what she enjoys.

Sometimes, people don't express their preferences because they're embarrassed, afraid of hurting someone's feelings, or assume their honey should already know what they want. Well, let's make things easier for everybody.

Encourage open, honest communication. Ask how she's feeling, what she enjoys, and whether there's anything she'd prefer to do differently.

And when she tells you something important, LISTEN! Don't treat her answers as criticism of your abilities. Think of them as valuable information from the person whose experience matters just as much as yours. Remember, she can tell you what she likes better than anybody else can.

  • THIRD, INTRODUCE THINGS TO HER YOU THINK SHE MIGHT LIKE (THAT SHE'S PROBABLY NEVER HEARD OF OR TRIED BEFORE, BUT WOULD LIKE TO)

Gentlemen, here's something I want you to remember when making love to your woman: DON'T ALWAYS WAIT FOR HER TO TELL YOU WHAT SHE WANTS! Sometimes, she doesn't know what to ask for because she hasn't experienced it yet! Perhaps she's never tried a particular position, enjoyed intimacy in a different setting, or discovered some wonderfully romantic way of being loved that you could introduce her to. She might even be curious about something but feel too embarrassed or shy to bring it up. That's where you, as her man, can take the initiative! Learn new ways to please her, use your imagination, and thoughtfully suggest something different that you believe SHE might enjoy. Remember, gentlemen, this isn't about introducing everything YOU want to experience. IT'S ABOUT HELPING HER DISCOVER MORE OF WHAT SHE LOVES!

And here's where being an attentive, confident lover becomes especially important. Suggest a new position, plan a romantic getaway, change your surroundings, or introduce something exciting that the two of you haven't enjoyed together before. Ask if she'd like to try it, make sure she's comfortable, and enjoy discovering something new together. Never assume she'll enjoy everything you suggest, and certainly never pressure her. Some ideas will become wonderful experiences; others might not appeal to her at all. That's perfectly okay! Pay attention to her reactions, listen to what she tells you, and encourage her to express what she likes, dislikes, or would love to experience again. THE MORE YOU LEARN ABOUT HER PREFERENCES, THE BETTER EQUIPPED YOU'LL BE TO PLEASE HER!

And gentlemen, here's when you know you're doing something right. Imagine your woman turning to you one evening with that beautiful smile and saying, "Honey, remember when we tried that special position? Or that wonderful thing you did for me? I WANT TO DO THAT AGAIN!" WHOA! Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! You've introduced her to something she genuinely enjoyed, and now she's asking YOU to experience it with her again! That's the beauty of taking the lead with love, confidence, creativity, and consideration. You're not simply repeating the same routine every time you're together. You're discovering new ways to make your intimate relationship more exciting, pleasurable, and fulfilling for BOTH of you. GENTLEMEN, TAKE THE INITIATIVE, LISTEN TO YOUR GAL, AND NEVER STOP LEARNING NEW WAYS TO LOVE HER!

  • BONUS #1: DON'T LET INTIMACY BECOME PREDICTABLE!

The second principle involves introducing new experiences into your romantic life. Before your imagination runs wild, this does not mean every evening requires an elaborate production. Often, something as simple as changing your routine, creating a more romantic atmosphere, expressing affection differently, or simply spending more dedicated time together can make intimacy feel fresh and exciting again.

The key is discovering what both of you genuinely want to try. Never assume that a scenario appealing to you will automatically interest your lady. Talk about it and explore ideas together. If either person feels uncomfortable with a suggestion, respect that boundary immediately. A loving relationship should always give both men and the woman they love the freedom to express themselves without pressure, judgment, or embarrassment.

  • BONUS #2: DON'T FORGET AFFECTION AND EMOTIONAL CONNECTION!

Something else I emphasize throughout the book is that true intimacy must involve more than just physical activity. Your attitude, expressions of affection, tenderness, and willingness to communicate all heavily contribute to the experience. Continue to show her appreciation, and remain considerate and responsive. Don't become so preoccupied with what you are doing that you stop noticing how she is actually feeling. Look into her eyes. Stay connected. Don't drift off after you got your rocks off. Talk to her. Cuddle with her after your deed(s) are done. Grab her hands. Hold her body ... all night long.

It is also important to remember that her preferences may differ from one evening to the next. Some nights, she may want more affection and conversation; other times, she may be tired, distracted, or simply not interested in being intimate. That is perfectly okay. Your relationship should be strong enough to accommodate both the enthusiastic "yes" and the perfectly reasonable "not tonight."

FINAL WORD

Becoming a better lover isn't about keeping score, proving how long you can perform, or attempting to follow some imaginary standard of sexual perfection. It's about learning how to share a satisfying, affectionate, and mutually enjoyable experience with the person you love.

Give her time. Remain open to new experiences you both enjoy. Ask questions. Listen carefully. And never stop treating her comfort and pleasure as important. Remember my four (4) basic principles: LET HER COME FIRST, INTRODUCE, and ASK Oh, and my bonus tips at the end.

Gentlemen, the objective isn't merely to become better at sex. IT'S TO BECOME BETTER AT LOVING THE WOMAN YOU'RE WITH! And that's an improvement worth making throughout your relationship.
