A FUNNY WEBSITE CLIENT STORY ...

I've been building websites since 1998. So, you can imagine I've probably built some 100+ other websites in my time since then (i.e., 5 websites built per year on average x 24 years in the business = 120 [+/-] websites I've probably built).

Well, one website in particular, 1ShoppingCart.com allowed me to redesign their website with my design (here's their old design), which they used for a few years thereafter until they sold their company to Web.com for the purchase price of $12,452,888 in September of 2006. You have to imagine, 1ShoppingCart.com was the most popular eCommerce/online marketing shopping cart system back in the day. They had annual revenues in the millions of dollars serving over 10,000 customers.

Well, when I was asked to design their video tutorials around that time, the owner of 1ShoppingCart.com asked me what I thought about their website. I said it stunk. He asked if I could do better. I said, give me one night. The next morning I came into their Canadian office in Barrie with a graphic design layout of my proposed website design for them. THEY LOVED IT!!! I wasn't at their office for more than 2 days when they asked me to reprioritized my working on their video tutorials so I could redesign their website first, which I finished in about 2 weeks time all by myself.

I scored roughly $10,000 cash for that website design, PLUS a FREE private label shopping cart account, which I named MyMarketingCart.com (valued at $20,000), which allowed me to earn 40% of any/all sales from my own shopping cart customers. Note, I still receive commissions to this day from that shopping cart system.

Well, that was a long time ago, of course. Since then, I've done so many other things, as you can imagine. BUT, if my website design work was that good to help be part of the selling price of a website eCommerce company for such an extraordinary amount of money, the question that begs to be answered today is what could I do for you and your website?
